Highlights
We are into our second day of fall and we are learning about
seasonal changes.
Music Update
We will be taking
our students to the Calgary
Philharmonic Orchestra in early November. We will hear the
story of Peter and the Wolf (Prokofiev, 1936) and Carnival
of the Animals (Saint-Saens, 1886) which includes 14 short pieces,
each portraying an animal: The Royal March of the Lion, The Aquarium (more to
come).
Reminders
Thank you to
all the volunteers who came out and helped with Panorama Hills School
casino. Everyone did a fantastic job and we appreciate their commitment
and dedication to the school. We won’t know the total numbers from the
casino for a while, but the last casino was $68,000, this works out to about
$2,000 a volunteer. Awesome job! The money raised will have an
impact on the education of all the students at Panorama Hills School.
