Terry Fox Run!


Important Information:

We are practicing library routines for the next few weeks. After that, students will be going to the library by themselves throughout the day.
Ms. Hansen’s class: our next library visit is Wednesday October 7.
Ms. Bain’s class: bring your books tomorrow (October 1).

Homework: 

Reading:  Online or paper books.  Please sign the reading log each night when you child reads either a paper or online book.  (If they read more than one book, you only have to write down one of the books and sign it).

Printing:  Practice 2 lines each of lowercase “n” and “p.”

Tomorrow is our Terry Fox run!!  Students are also encouraged to wear red and white on this day.

Lets ramp up our fundraising efforts for this amazing cause. It is the 35th anniversary of when Terry began his journey to raise awareness and funding to help find a cure for cancer. You can donate online by clicking on the link below or by bringing in cash donations to your homeroom teacher. 
Feel free to share the link below with family, friends and coworkers to help us raise as much as we can for the Terry Fox foundation.

In math, we used red and yellow counters to explore ways to make 6.   For example, 1 yellow and 5 red make 6, 2 yellow and 4 red make 6, 3 yellow and 3 red make 6, etc.

Print 2 lines of lowercase “h” and “i” in the blue homework books.  Make sure you start the letters at the top.

-Our leaf rubbings.  We collected fall leaves, placed them under a paper and rubbed crayons over top.
