Highlights

Many students and teachers wore jerseys for national "Jersey Day" today.  This tied in with our current Social Studies discussions about "Groups We Belong To" and to "How Do We Tell It's a Group?"

Homework

Reading:  Students are encouraged to read a variety of different books including the home reading books sent home, library books and online books.  The website "Starfall" can also be used to support students with their reading:  Starfalll

Students had a spelling quiz today on the list 4 words.  These will be handed back on Monday.

Please review the spelling words from the past 4 weeks.  Sometimes students are able to commit these words to short term memory, but need frequent review in order to spell these words consistently.

Reminders

Please continue to send a water bottle with students each day.  This ensures students stay hydrated, while minimizing frequent interruption to learning when students ask to leave the classroom to go to the water fountain.

Ask Me About

Pick at number between 1-20.  Have your child try to figure out the number by providing clues about whether your number is more or less than what is guessed.

STAY WARM THIS WEEKEND!
