Highlights:
Ms. Bain’s
class: We learned
two math games on different websites.
www.jmathpage.com (Snakes and ladders game- under the “Number”
section). This game helps students
practice addition and become more familiar with numbers to 100.
www.coolmath.com (Number twins- have students click on the
heading which says “Practice” first).
This game is a great way to practice addition facts.
Mrs.
Diduch’s class: We made paper
mache monsters.
Homework:
If your child is not using the raz-kids website each night,
please tell them to bring home a paper book to read. It is important that students continue to
practice their reading each night.
Mrs. Diduch: Our spelling routine has changed to
review our No Excuse grade one words. We will be reviewing 12 words a
week. A choice board for activities has been sent home. Today we are doing
“Back Spelling”. This weeks words are: about, after, all, animal, any, are,
away, be, because, boy, brother, and but. (The kindergarten list
has been sent home as well so that you can review at your own pace.)
Ms. Bain’s
class: Spelling quiz this
week.

Ask me about:
Ms. Bain’s
class: Why are tree leaves

which humans need to survive.)
