Ms. Bain’s class:  On February 10 we will have a presentation in our classroom called “Sensational Science” from the Scientists in School organization.  This presentation will involve different centre activities based on the 5 senses.  A consent form has been sent home because one of the centres will involve tasting and smelling different objects.  A list of what will be tasted is included on the form.  If you would not like your child to taste any of the listed items, please let your child’s teacher know.  If the form is not signed and returned, students will not be able to participate in the activity.

We also need 4 parent volunteers to help out the morning of Feb. 10 with the different centres.  If you have a security clearance and would like to help please email Ms. Bain at lcbain@cbe.ab.ca .

Ms. Hansen’s class will also participate in the “Sensational Science” program on February 25. We will need 4 parent volunteers to help with the centres. If you have police clearance and are available to help, please email Ms. Hansen at mlhansen@cbe.ab.ca  Blue forms went home with students today. Please make sure to sign and return the forms.

Valentines

Some students/parents have been asking about Valentines. Valentines are optional. If a student wants to bring/make Valentines, we are asking that your child bring one Valentine for each classmate in their class (21 in Hansen, 21 in Bain/Schroeder).  Valentines may be brought to school on February 8, 9, and 10 only.  Students will bring home their mailboxes on February 10.  Thanks for your support of this fun activity.  (Please ensure your child signs their own Valentines as this is good printing practice).

SPRING FOOD DRIVE

Panorama Hills School will be hosting a Spring Food Drive from Feb. 29 - March 17. Please bring non-perishable food items (see below list) and place them in the donation boxes in the Grand Hall. Please see our newsletter page for more information.
