Highlights

Thank you to all the families and students who were able to attend our winter concert.  Students should be proud of a job well done!

Today we watched the grades 3/4 perform their dress rehearsal in preparation for their afternoon and evening shows.

This week we finished our gingerbread stories.  We practiced reading a thermometer when we measured the temperature of warm, cold, and room temperature water.  We also read a story called “The Cookie Fiasco” where 4 friends had the dilemma of trying to share 3 cookies.  (Who knew this problem could be solved with math?)

Important Information

Don’t forget that it is pajama, stuffy and movie day tomorrow! Tomorrow is also the last day of classes before winter break.  School resumes Jan. 3, 2017!

Homework
-Reading- Remember to keep track of your minutes on the Read-a-Thon sheet!
-Dreambox math/Raz-Kids
-Do you know your addition doubles?  Ten friends (1+9, 2+8, 3+7, etc.)?  Can you skip count by 2, 5, and 10 forward and backward?

-Have a safe and enjoyable winter break.  I look forward to seeing you in 2017!  We have lots of learning in store for us!
