Highlights
Welcome back! Happy New Year!
-Today we practiced adding details when
writing about our winter breaks.
-In Math we reviewed skip counting backwards
by 2, 5 and 10 from 100. We also
practiced starting at 1 and counting by 2 (1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, etc.) Tomorrow we will begin working on
subtraction.
-In Social Studies were learned about what the
land is like on the Prairies.
-We also started talking about nouns.
Important Information
Please return your library books if you signed
them out before the winter break.
Forms were sent home before the winter break
if you would like to order a DVD of the Gr.1/2 concert Christmas concert.
Please bring your yellow Read-A-Thon tracking
sheets and Sponsorship forms to school.
Homework
-Reading/Raz-Kids (a new tracking sheet will be sent home later in the week)
-New spelling lists sent home (quiz on Friday)
-Dreambox math
