Important info:

Picture proofs went home last week. If you are placing any orders, please return them by tomorrow (October 14).

We are practicing library routines for the next few weeks. After that, students will be going to the library by themselves throughout the day. Ms. Hansen’s class: our next library visit is tomorrow.

You can vote for the new school’s name! From now until October 13. Visit our school website for details http://schools.cbe.ab.ca/b397/

Panorama Hills School is excited to be partnering with The Salvation Army, Calgary’s Classic Rock Q 107 and The Calgary Stampeders for this year’s coat drive. Your participation in the coat drive challenge will help keep Calgary’s less fortunate warm this winter.
We are collecting any clean, new or gently used coats you are able to donate. All coats can be brought to your child’s classroom teacher/the front office.
In 2014, Calgary area schools donated a total of 2, 871 coats! We look forward to being a part of this fantastic project, which helps children and families in need within our community.
Coats are being collected until Monday, October 26th, 2015.

Homework:

Reading:  Online or paper books.  Please sign the reading log each night when you child reads either a paper or online book.  (If they read more than one book, you only have to write down one of the books and sign it).

Word Study (spelling): A spelling list for the next four weeks went home today. On the back are some ideas for students to practice their spelling at home, in addition to the work we do each day in school. Tonight, the homework is to print one row each of the words a, for, and it. Please make sure that the tall letters (‘f’ and ‘t’) are tall!
