Picture Re-take Day: October 29 in the morning.
Student Voice this year has chosen some dates for spirit
days. Our first spirit day will be on Thursday, October 29th. We are
going to have Orange and Black
Day. Let’s show some spirit in our school by dressing in
these October colours.
Homework:
Reading: Students should be reading 10-15 minutes each night (either the
paper books, Raz-kids books, their own books at home or library books if they
are at an appropriate level). It is very
beneficial for students to read a book multiple times to improve their reading
fluency.
Word Study
(spelling): Print one line of ‘had,’ ‘of’ and ‘that.’ Students can also
practice spelling words using the ideas on the sheet sent home last week.
We will have a review quiz on Friday, October 23. The quiz will be on all of the words we have
practiced the past 2 weeks. (a, for, it,
to, and, from, is, the, are, have, like, they, as, had, of, that)

What primary colours make green? (blue and yellow)
What primary colours make purple? (blue and red)
What primary colours make orange? (red and yellow)
(This is something we need to know for science!)
