WALK TO
SCHOOL DAY:
Join
classmates and members of our community for Walk to School Day, Wednesday, October 8th! We can celebrate this day of active
travel to school by:
-making a
meeting time and spot to walk to school with a schoolmate who lives nearby
-parking the
car further away from school and walking the rest of the way
Those who
participate can share how they felt from their walk with their Teacher and get
a stamp or sticker for celebrating Walk to School Day!

NOTE: If you
usually get a ride to and from school and are walking instead, please make a
plan with your guardian. If you usually take the bus, please let your bus
driver know when you will NOT be on the bus.
Homework
The official
homereading will begin next week. Read for 10 minutes everyday. This
could be a library book, home reading or a book online. It is beneficial
to have your child read their home reading book multiple times. This
helps to improve fluency.
Grapheme
homework. Please print “ur” five times while saying “ur” the “ur” of nurse and
print “wor” five times while saying “wor“ the “er” of works.
