Highlights

The entire school had our first lock down drill of the year. The teachers said that we do this just incase something or someone unsafe is in the school. Please discuss as a family why we have these lockdowns. Ms. Bain and Mrs. Diduch did not want to scare the children but ask that families reinforce the importance of this type of drill.

Reminders

-Field trip forms sent home for the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra.  Please sign and return.  (Our music teacher has contacted the parents who offered to volunteer earlier in the year.  Forms will be sent home for them to sign.  Unfortunately we don’t have any more spaces for additional volunteers at this time.)

Thursday is black and orange day. Please wear black and/or orange to school to show your school pride.

Tomorrow our classes will be reviewing our single letter graphemes.

Homework
Graphemes: Practice printing and sounding the following graphemes: wh  & oa
Keep reviewing the multi-letter graphemes! This is an important piece to learning to read and write.

Read, Read, Read!
