**Winter concert costumes: Students in Ms. Bain’s class are asked to wear all brown.
Students in Ms. Hansen’s class are asked to wear all black. The doctors (Hansen's class) are asked to wear a white shirt.

Highlights
We started our last week of spelling before we take a little break from official spelling homework.  Students will be given a spelling assessment and then begin independent leveled lists in January, with quizzes every few weeks.  Specific spelling blocks during class time will taper off to allow more time for Language Arts in writing and read alouds. In Science we started learning about our sense of sight. In Social Studies we are continuing with mapping.  During music classes, students have been busy preparing for our winter concert. We are also beginning math centres.

Homework

Reading (always!)

Word Study (spelling):  Practice spelling and write one line of the following words:  fun, by, and name.
There will be a spelling quiz tomorrow of the words from last week and this week.
