Highlights
In Science we started learning about our sense of taste. In Social Studies we are continuing with mapping.  During music classes, students have been busy preparing for our winter concert. We are also working through math centres. In Language Arts, we are starting reader’s theatre.

Homework

Reading (always!)

Word Study (spelling):  Last week’s quiz went home today (except for kids in Mrs. Colpitts’s group). We will be taking a spelling break until January. Next, students will be taking a diagnostic test on the first list that went home (32 must know words). From there, they will be placed in colour groups, and spelling practice will take place during centres or at home.

Important Information
- December 18 is pyjama/stuffy day!
- We are now collecting socks and toiletries for The Alex “Warm toes without holes.” Students are encouraged to bring in a pair of socks, as well as bus tickets or toiletries (shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, razors, bus passes, etc).
- PHS is also participating in the Mayor’s Food Drive until December 17.
