Highlights
During writing on
Tuesday, students had to think about would happen on their best day ever! On Wednesday we read the story “Alexander and
the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” and wrote about what would
happen on the worst day ever! We practiced
making connections between events in the book and our own lives. In Math, we learned that different attributes
can change in a pattern. For example,
the size, shape, colour, position, thickness and number of objects can change
in patterns. Today, our first fire drill
practice went smoothly.

Toonies for Terry
We are asking
students to bring a toonie (or any other amount) for our Terry Fox
fundraiser. Online donations can be made
at www.terryfox.org and tax receipts are available. You can click to make donations under
Panorama Hills School. If students would
like, they can also print off pledge sheets from this site. Our school goal is to raise $2000.00.
Warm Winter Coat Drive
The Calgary
Stampeders and the Salvation Army are accepting donations of new, or slightly
used coats for students in Kindergarten to Grade 12. There is a donation box at the school if you
have winter coats your children may have outgrown. This will take place until the end of
October.
Homework
Students have
received information about their Raz-Kids reading accounts. Please try the account to make sure it
works. The Raz-Kids reading level of your child may be adjusted over the next couple of weeks as I complete their reading assessments.
