Highlights
Both classes have now had a visit from volunteers from the CNIB
(Canadian National Institute for the Blind).
They made each student’s name in Braille and we got to meet a guide dog
named “Finnegan.” Students also got to
wear a mask over their eyes to help them experience what it is like to be
blind.
Both classes also listened to a non-fiction story about dogs.

Ask Me About:
How can people who are blind
read? (Use braille.)
Why is it important to ignore
a guide dog (e.g., don’t call it, don’t pet it) when it is working?
